Can the body panel between the back glass and trunk and the panel between the windshield and hood on a 1941 coupe be used to repair/replace the same panels on a 1940 coupe?

I'm not a body man, but I doubt they would interchange. When I restored my '47 converible, we had to replace the panel between the trunk lid and the top well. The place I used fabricated the piece, and it can't be detected now. Repair panels are made for rockers, door bottoms, etc, but I haven't seen the ones you are seeking. If you have a good body shop nearby, I'd consult them.

40 vs. 41 - not even close.
