Looking for info on routing a new fuel line from tank to cowl with dual exhaust. I have a '41 ford business coupe that has custom built dual exhaust. The old line was routed along the drivers side frame rails with the exhaust on the pass side. My concern is how close the exhaust and fuel line are as the mufflers sit close to the frame. Thanks Bob A. Sorry, I'm not sure how this got into the new 40 book forum. should be in general discussion. Bob A.

We reroute the front end of the line to avoid the left headpipe so it isn't close to the heat. Be sure to fasten it where it isn't supported by clips, and bring it up to the flex hose on the firewall. Plastic Tyraps work well for that. The rest of the line can stay in the frame rail.
