Many original frames without the later reinforcements at the rear cross member exhibit distortion from the combined weight of the stock gas tank and the rear-mounted spare wheel and tire. A larger capacity gas tank mounted on an early frame would increae that tendency if used with a rear-mounted spare wheel and tire. This message was edited by 3w2 on 5-17-15 @ 8:21 PM
