Topic: Replacing check valves on 34 Offenhauser fuel pump

I've got a 34 Offie fuel pump on my 32 and am trying to rebuild it. Beyond the fact that most of the pieces in the rebuild kit are useless due to incorrect sizing, I'm trying to get the old check valves out but don't see how? Anyone with experience? See photo.

First of all this is NOT a 1934 FP. Its an aftermarket 46-48 glass bowl type and is not rebuildable as the valves are pressed in at the factory.Nothing I have will fit in there. You need to find a pump marked "AC" on the top section. I rebuild these pumps and do so for $70 exchange plus $14 postage. Don't even want your core so theres a $20 core chg. for me to supply a correct core if you want a glass bowl pump. Correct 34 pumps go for $100 + $50 core chg. ken ct 1-203-260-5945 cell if you want more info.

On closer look at pic it doesn't look like a glass bowl pump. In anycase it cannot be rebuilt. I have some that are rebuildable and steel bowl somewhat cheaper than glass bowl ones. ken ct. If you would call me I will explain better. ken ct.
