Was the firewall the same color as the body or was it always black regardless of the the finish color? I would appreciate an accurate answer as soon as possible.

The firewall was bolted to the chassis as it went down the assembly line. It was painted black. There was no way to know what color body would end up on the chassis. Charlie Stephens
