I need to have a 32 block re-babbited. Anybody still do this?

Why don't you tell us where you are? There are many sources around the country and there's no sense telling you about our favorite if it's 2000 miles away from you.

Dale, You are correct. I live in central Texas and would be happy with a shop anywhere in Texas. Will do what it takes to get it done.

Pouring the babbit is only part of the process. The mains must then be line rebored to fit the crank. A skilled shop will include sufficient shims so the clearance can be adjusted, but the crank must be carefully measured to determine the journal sizes. If you can't locate a good shop close to your location, check the Model A web sites.

While I personally know of a source, he's up here in my neck of the woods (I'm in Indy, Ron's is just outside of Cincy.) Checking Hemmings, I find a shop in Missouri but that's still quite a haul from TX. For what it's worth, that one is Paul's Rod and Bearing (since 1952) and his phone is 816-587-4747.
