Topic: 32 mdl B battery box

Currently working on a 32 model B 4 cyl. I bought a new battery box/support from Mac's but the bolt holes don't line up with anything on the frame. What am I missing and where does it go specifically?

Look at the lubrication chart in the instruction book that came with the car. You should get a copy of "The 1932 Ford" book that the club sells (https://www.earlyfordv8.org/Shop.cfm?id=15&pid=2). Briefly the battery box is behind the K member mounted to the frame under the drivers feet. There is a removable plate in the floorboard to check and fill the battery. You might want to post a picture to be sure they sent you the right part. Does it match the picture in their catalog (http://www.macsautoparts.com/ford_mercury_early/catalogsearch/result/?q=battery+box&x=12&y=11)?

This Ford archives photo of a display chassis may help (LHD fours and V8s had the same battery box location). Later in the '32 model year the commercial version was adopted for passenger cars (the only difference being the addition of a heavy sheet metal panel in front to serve as a stone guard).

Thank you to 32W2 That is exactly what I needed to see. The body is at the paint shop and I want to finish the chassis before dropping the body back on the frame.
