I'm getting ready to have the running boards from my '48 F-1 grit blasted and powder coated (black, of course). Am I correct in believing that they should be done with a gloss finish?

I would draw your attention to the Galleries section on the Menu on the left. Looking at the 1949 to 1951 Ford truck pictures, I believe that a gloss would be what you would think was factory. Probably a chassis black texture. I restored my 1936 pickup boards that way. I am sure since I put forward a response, others will chime in.
