Does anyone know if the 1956 Ford 12V heater motor or any others will interchange with the 6V heater motors of earlier Fords & Mercurys from 1949-1955? I would appreciate any help with this matter. Thanks

Take your existing heater motor to Napa Auto Parts and they can probably match it to a 12 volt motor. You may have to shorten the shaft, but it's no big deal.Make sure the 12 volt motor rotates in the same direction as the 6 volt motor. This message was edited by trjford8 on 10-31-16 @ 12:33 PM
