  I have a Ford Flathead motor that I would like to rebuild. any suggestions on where to buy parts like Rod bearing, main bearing, pistons, rings cam bearing and gasket set ? thanks

  I would suggest adding your general location to your profile (and in this case the body of your post). It is much better to buy across the street where you can look at the parts instead of across the country where you have the cost of and uncertainty of shipping. I am sure there are equally good sources near Southern California as near Maine or Florida.

  We buy from Cleggs Machine in Utah all USA products a full rebuild kit is around
$850 or so. Problem is they only service 1949-1953 8BA EAC ECM engines..so google
there site....

  You can probably find most of what you need from Egge Machine. They are located in Santa Fe Springs, CA.

  If you are rebuilding a pre-1949 engine, make sure that your machine shop knows how to recondition the rods for the floating bearings or replace the crankshaft and rods with the later style that takers the fixed bearings.

There were several comments a couple of years ago on the HAMB, about Egge pistons hitting the head. It seems that the dome was too high on some of them.
