Topic: 35 Ford Frame

I have a 35 flatbed - in alot of pieces.
Im interested in frame swap ideas.

Previously i had looked into this and have not come up with much other than keep the stock, however upgrade it, or swap in a new front clip and rear.

Im pretty sure i will go the 302 cid route, 8.8 rear, man or auto - havent decided yet.
I figured a 85-95 v8 mustang would be a great doner, with the front clip coming from an aftermarket company like fatman or chassis tech.

Then i ran across a guy suggesting a late 90's to early 2000's explorer swap, but i never got into the details about the chassis, and i have read that a ranger swap is a poor choice.

Lastly I came across a 35/36 truck that was put on a late model Suburban frame/ drive train. I really like the look, not so mich the "Chevy" part of it. Just google the vin of the truck - T0125CLB

I would like to keep it all Ford, and am open to anyones thoughts and knowledge on this.

I have already priced out fatman and chassis tech at about $5-10k either way for a full frame (fatman), or front/ rear clips & mounts ect..... (Chassis tech) - (then i need to get it welded in cause i cant do it).

I have seen 40 on a ranger chassis that was asolutly done right,, you could not tell until you looked real close. It was at the gathering of the faithful in mass. If I can find the pic. I will post it

Ken if you spent $450 ,you should consider it a success if you bought good needed stuff,, unless it was for a Chevy
