I noticed that my 1934 Ford pickup truck has cast numbers on the cylinder heads reading as follows: "3-18-42". They are on the side of each head, about 2" below and between the 3rd and 4th spark plugs. My question is, is this a casting date which would mean the heads were replaced at some point? Thanks in advance...Bill

yes, not too uncommon to replace heads with replacement parts due to corrosion
