Topic: 1936 Ford Pickup under grille panel

OK, here's one for you. I have been spending too much time trying to get the 1936 pickup under grille panel that I have to fit my grille. As seen in the attached picture, mine is the one on the left. Of course there were two different styles in 1936. And yes, the grille I am using and the under grille panel came from the same vehicle. Please note: the panel was not attached to the grille when the truck was purchased, it was just sitting in the bed of the pickup (and somewhat bent and battered)
The problem is, in the picture the panel on the left looks like it is almost flat, and we have had to curve the panel I have to even come close to fitting the mounting hole openings in the bottom of the grille.
So, the question is, for all you 1936 Ford pickup owners out there -- if you have the under the grille panel, is yours somewhat flat, or is it curved?
We want to know. As a commercial judge, I have seen very few 1936 pickups with this panel installed. I suppose the reason they are not installed, was they blocked access to the petcocks on the bottom of the radiator, and the whole panel must have been tossed the first time the truck was worked on.
