I have a '38 pickup with a 4 speed and am wondering if a '40-'41 pickup 3 speed will interchange and will it be synchronized like a '40 or '41 car. Thanks. Jim

According to the way that I read the Green book, the 38-41 commercial 3 speed transmissions interchange and they are not crash boxes and used the same gear sets ar the 38-39 cars. Tom

clutch throw out bearing cross shaft needs to be changed to 38 style in the 40 up box, otherwise it fits good and you will love the 3 sp syncro over the 4 sp crass box
