Topic: master cylinder46'

I located the master cylinder only to discover that the square nut seems to be a very odd size and floor access doesn't allow for other tools. Suggestions are appreciated.

Btw - anyone have a good source for brake shoes?

I use a 8 point square socket. Sometimes the corners of the plug are worn off and it takes a lot of downward pressure to make it work. Or take an open end, go under neath and turn it while an assistant puts pressure on the wrench from up above. When you put it back on, it doesn't need to be very tight. I always use Mac's for brake parts and have had good luck with them.
