I've got two flathead V8 crankshafts. I'm certain that one of them is a Mercury as it has "1CM" cast into one of the counterweights. The other has nothing visible. Is there any way to ID it other than to set it up in a block or "V"-blocks and measure the stroke? They're both sure to be '49-'53 cranks, because of all the flathead parts I used to have, I never had anything earlier. Thanks. Bruce W

Thanks 52, that will give me something to go on. Looks like the only way to be sure, tho, is to set it up in blocks and measure it. Bruce
