hi all I want to put a manual oil pressure gauge in a 1948 ford with a 59ab in it I can not put a tee where the sender unit is on room can I take a sender reading on the line that runs back to the oil filter thanks roger

The 1940 handles are similar, except the coating is blue. I cleaned the handles and sanded them with 800 wet or dry paper to get an even sheen on them. happy

You can if you use the right plumbing pices. [rear] Short 3-4" long brass nipple and a "T" fitting. Ive done it on mine. It rasises the SU up higher and out of the way. Also easier to replace when its up higher. OMO ken ct.

The return line from the oil filter does not have full oil pressure on it. Tom

The gauge has to go into the feed line to the filter. Either one of the 2 holes at the rear of the block or just before the restrictor fitting at the inlet to the filter / ken ct. Some adaptor fittings will make this work.

hi thanks for your help .Tom will I get right reading from the pipe that runs from back of the engine to the filter ? not the one that runs to the sump thanks roger
