having just purchased a 52 merc Monterey I need manuals. where do you suggest I get shop manual, assembly manual, and electrical schematics?

Congratulations on your new car. Post a picture when you can. Welcome to the Forum, be sure to come here for any questions that you have. I also suggest that you become a member of the Early Ford V-8 Club and a Regional Group near your home. Google "1952 Mercury Shop manual" for all of your manuals. This is a summary of what I found. A lot of the literature vendors advertise in E-Bay, you could also advertise in the Classified section of this web site under Memorabilia Wanted or attend local swap meets and buy them from a vendor at the meet. You can buy the Shop Manual and and parts manual from Rock Auto on CD. If you intend to show your car on the Concourse at one of the Early Ford V-8 Club meets, I suggest that you also purchase the Club's 52-53 Ford Book. It does not cover Mercury, but a lot of the Ford information in it is the same as the Mercury information. I don't believe that there is an assembly manual for the 1952 Mercury. Here is a link to the 53 Mercury wiring diagram. The 52 Mercury would be very similar. Tom

Detroit Iron Information systems has a good CD that covers Lincoln & Mercury cars from 1949 thru the late 50s. The body manuals are also important to have and they are included. You can find original manuals on Flea-Pay now and then too. As for electrical schematics, there is a fellow that sells a laminated electrical diagram for most of the Ford/Mercury models on Flea-Pay. If you want to purchase one, go for the large size. It take a magnifier to tell some wire colors on the small ones.

To post a photo use the IMAGE Attachment box and browse for the file. Just make sure that the photo is not too big. This one is just under 2 meg and it is slow loading. I agree sweet ride for sure.. If you watch eBay original manuals are there all the time.. If you shop and don't mind having soiled pages, you can get some very cheap. Also Motors manuals are almost always available.
