Topic: What is this worth?

My employer has a small collection of vintage cars. One is an abandoned project, a 1930 Lincoln 4 Dr sedan. It is a V8, Dietrich bodied car. Several years ago, the owner passed away and the project was stopped. What I know is completed are the engine and drivetrain, chassis and suspension, tires and wheels. and the body in primer. The original restorers say all parts are there (yeh, we heard that). I can't verify if this is true. I think this is some form of limo, but I don't know Lincolns of this era. In this type of shape, what would be a reasonable asking price?

That car is a full Classic and values are determined by the demand for the particular car, body style and body builder, past history of the car will also affect the value.

If you are serious about purchasing the car, contact an appraiser familiar with Classic cars and get a value report on what the car is worth in current condition and in restored condition. Then find out what it would cost to finish the restoration.

To find an appraiser, I would ask for one in your area, by posting your question on the AACA Forum for CCCA.

You can also ask the question on the Lincoln Forum on the AACA site.
