I tried the Merc and the Ford forum but the answer should be the same for the 53 Lincoln convertible. Per the 53' Merc advisor in the Early Ford V8 Club and my body parts book: The part number is BC 7654486 AA and the body parts book refers to it as "Container Assembly (top dust hood)". It was evidentially made from the scr*ps from the tops. So the material would be Haartz Cloth. I am looking for pictures, diagrams or dimensions. No one seems to have seen an origional one!

Contact LeBaron Bonney at 1-800-221-5408. They make two types. FA259 is beige fabric, FA257 is vinyl top material. I assume they will also custom make boot bags if those choices don't match your top.
