Need to order a new hood ornament for 40 ford deluxe...one is in stock and the other is on backorder...anyone have any experience with either of these...or recommendations...thanks. regards, David B Campbell

I believe those ornaments may be made by only one manufacturer. Has someone told you they are made by each supplier?

I do believe they are made by Drake. I have when absolutely necessary, used Drakes. I do not use his hood release handle as I simply do not want to see "DRAKE" cast on the back side. Last time I checked, he didn't supply Ford back in the day and as such, his name on the handle should result in a point deduction upon the concourse. If Carpenter is the guy that has them in stock, insist they tell you who they were originally manufactured for. Mike "Kube" Kubarth
