Is the fan motor on the HW heater supposed to be hot..that is wired to run when the ignition is off.? regards, David B Campbell

To my knowledge it is only supposed to run when the ignition is in the on position.

The installation instructions say"connect the jumper wire to the ignition switch terminal with the red and black wire". This is the terminal that has the wire going to the ignition resister. Tom
