I need to know if there is a chart available for all of the bolts and nuts etc for a 1940 Ford 85 hp engine. I have lost the distributor bolts and I know the length must be precise.

38 V8 , I take that to mean a 1" long bolt and the diff. is in the thickness of the washer, .100" alowence for the washer ?? lol Thanks. ken ct.

No, Ken, the dimension of the bolt is not dependent on the washer. Alan

Roy Nacewicz has the correct bolts for your engine. Hardware store bolts are not readily available in lengths other than fractional lengths. The closet fractional length would be 7/8" Tom

First time ive seen bolts that were .900,God ive been using 7/8" bolts on my dist for the past 25 yrs don't think it makes much diff. .875". .025 is about a thread and a 1 1/2 if that much. I guess to the purist that makes a diff. lol ken ct. I just like them to run !!.Thanks for pointing out my mistake.
