[ CLOSE ]Arel Brown's President's Message, January 2010
January 03, 2010
Arel Brown, President
Happy New Year and welcome to the Early Ford V-8 Club web site. I’d like to introduce myself and share some V-8 news with you.
I’m Arel Brown. Barbara, my bride of 30 years, and I live in northern New York state one hour from Canada, south of the Thousand Islands and east of Lake Ontario, right in a heavy lake effect snow belt . (Our average seasonal snow fall is 200 inches). I was elected to the national board of directors in 2006 as part of the equitable reapportionment plan and served as national secretary in 2007 and 2008. I have been a national V-8 Club member since 1973 and have a preference for the “earlier” V-8s. There are currently bundled up in our barn waiting for spring: a rouge ’33 standard tudor that I’ve owned for 38 years, a Dearborn emeritus ‘34 Victoria, a resto-rod ’34 roadster, a ’35 pick-up, a well traveled 1935 Phaeton and a modified ’39 deluxe coupe. I am a member of the Mohawk Valley (NY)RG #59, the Western NY RG#3,the Twin States (VT & NH) RG# 118 and currently working closely with the Up State (NY) RG 147 and the New England RG 5 who are participating in a joint effort to host the 2011 eastern national meet. We envy those of you who live in the warmer climates and can enjoy driving your vehicles year round.
2010 will be a special year for me as I serve the club in this prestigious position and fill the shoes of those who have preceded me in the presidency of the Early Ford V-8 Club.
Installation of 2010 Officers/Directors @ “Face-to-Face” Business Meeting: The official induction of the new directors and the 2010 officers will take place in the Houston, Texas area on February 18 -21. At that time we will also be honoring two retiring national directors: 1) Jim Derickson, retiring California/Southwest 3 Director, who was our national meet coordinator and instrumental in creating a revised national meet guide. Jim represented California and the southwest from 2007 to 2009. And, 2) Ron Love, retiring Northwest Director, a club member since the late 1960’s began his official tenure with the V-8 club in 1979 when he was first elected to the board of directors. In addition to being elected to many terms as national director Ron has also served the V-8 club in many other capacities: as a judge, deputy judge, then as national chief judge, judging standards committee member, chairman of the judging standards committee, he stepped forward to assist in the final assembling of the Ken Brown authored 1941-1948 Ford book after Ken’s untimely passing in 2003.
Installation of Officers: Joining me in taking the oath at the induction ceremony will be Bob York as vice president, and Jerry Reichel (2009 president) as the national secretary. Jerry is in his final year of his second term as national director, has been vice president, and his personal goal was to hold each of the club’s offices. Swearing in of reelected Directors will include Dave Collette (PA) and Bob York (TX), along with newly elected DirectorsSteve Lemmons (WA) and Brian Derickson (CA).
Invitation to Join Us in Houston for the Business Meeting & Induction: This is an open meeting and all national members are invited to attend. This is your club and we are representing you. Should you have any ideas or suggestions that you would like introduced, contact your national director so that he may have it placed on the agenda. (For more info, go to the Nat'l Events section.)

We will be shipping the 1937 Ford Books as soon as they arrive at our V8 Accessories facility. They are scheduled to ship from the publisher to us this Friday. So if all goes as planned, we will have the books in our inventory pretty soon.
220 pages, spiral bound, softcover. This is the long-awaited, much anticipated 1937 Ford Book. This book contains an abundance of illustrated, detailed pages with chapters on Interior, Exterior, Engine Compartment, Upholstery Swatches, Chapters on the 85 hp and 60hp Engines, Accessories and much more!
Hello to all fellow V8er’s and old car enthusiasts. Welcome to our website. We are the worldwide Early Ford V-8 Club, dedicated to the Flathead V-8 and the cars, trucks and vehicles it powered. It never ceases to amaze me the uses that were found for this V-8 engine.
At every National meet that I attend there is always something new. At Auburn, Indiana there was a flathead V-8 that was half engine and half air compressor. Not all that unusual except it was only about four feet long and self propelled on rubber tracks. The young man that restored it fired it up and drove it around, pretty cool.
I invite you to attend an Early Ford V-8 National Meet, check things out for yourself. Our 9,000+ members are continually working to preserve and promote the legendary V-8 engine and it’s place in our automotive history.
Club Website: As Club President I want to thank John and Margaret Connelly for their work on this new website. Quite remarkable -- they did this in less than 8 months starting from the ground up and never missing a beat. Take some time to navigate around and you’ll soon see it’s complete, informative and user friendly -- truly “V8 Times” quality.
1937 Book: Be sure to check in the Nov/Dec V-8 Times for the new ‘37 book advertisement (also checkout the OnLine Store on the website). Seeing is believing -- its being printed and will be available in mid-December. I know this book has been a long drawn out struggle but it’s finally done. My thanks to Bob York for taking this thing by the horns and finally getting it done. Leave it to a Texan to know how to grab things by the horns.
2010 Officers: My term as President will end in 2009 and I’ve really enjoyed it. I had a great BOD and staff to work with. Arel Brown will be President in 2010 with Bob York serving as Vice President. I will complete my final year on the Official Board serving as Secretary for 2010.
New directors for 2010 will be Brian Derickson and Steve Lemmons.
Thanks to outgoing directors Ron Love and Jim Derickson, we appreciate your many years of service.
Remember we are always looking for new directors; there will be two openings in 2010. Get signed up, it’s not that hard a job, and we need interested volunteers!
International and National Meets in 2010
Make your plans now to attend a National or International meet. At this time there are four (4) Meets approved and scheduled. Check out the UPCOMING EVENTS section of the website.
International Meets in 2010 . . .
· South Australia in June 2010.
· Scandinavian Meet in Oslo, Norway in July 2010.
U.S. National Meets in 2010 . . .
· Charlotte, N.C. in June and
· St George, Utah in October.
Cheryl and I plan to drive our trusty ‘51 to both U.S. National Meets. From our house, Charlotte, NC is a short 240 miles, no sweat. St George, Utah however is a tad farther, I’ll have to “check er” over really good. Any one interested in traveling out there let us know, it’s always easier to go as a group. Happy V8ing

Letter from the EFV8 President, Jerry Reichel
Hello to all fellow V8’ers and old car enthusiasts! Welcome to our website.
We are the Worldwide Early Ford V-8 Club, dedicated to the “Flathead V-8” and the 1932 to 1953* Ford built cars, trucks and vehicles it powered. We are over 9,100 members strong and are continually working to preserve and promote these legendary vehicles and their time span in our automotive history.
Welcome to our new website, it’s just as I promised, all new, user friendly and as interesting and informative as the V-8 Times. There are a multitude of choices, everything from Club history, links to regional groups, membership options, our online store, book updates, classified ads for cars and parts, upcoming events and a discussion forum. Due to “spam” and some “unwanted visitors and advertisements” we will be requiring you to register; this is an easy onetime process requiring your name and a password. After that its click and go.
Cheryl and I enjoyed both National Meets we attended this year, it’s always nice to see old friends and to meet new ones. Both meets were well done and well attended, my hat is off to all who made it possible. I know hosting a National meet is not easy but I encourage all RG’s to give it some thought, they are an important part of our yearly event calendar.
I know this has been said before but this time you can take it to the bank. The '37 book is finally going to be published, we have cleared the last hurdle and it’s being made print ready now and will be at the printer soon. Watch for advanced sale announcements.
Don’t forget we are always looking for Directors. If you are interested get your info on file, contact the Director in your region for all the details.
Take some time and go through the new website main menu, see what we have to offer, join in the V-8 fun. It’s all there with just a “CLICK."
Jerry

CENTRAL NATIONAL MEET,
Aug. 28 – Sept. 1, 2009
Great Fun! A Big Success.
The Early Ford V-8 Central National Meet '09 filled the local motels, show field, and town square with 340 registrants and 263 flatheads in Auburn, Indiana. Many enjoyed the driving tour to Shipshewana to visit Hostetler's Hudson Museum and other venues. The Welcome Party at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum was enjoyed by 490 attendees, and our Banquet at the National Military History Center and Kruse Automotive and Carriage Museum provided everyone with a transportation delight. A fly over with a photographer snapping pictures of the concourse display and pictures from atop Auburn's city hall of the town square's Show and Shine featuring the ‘34 Fords added to the event's excitement.
Co-chairs Ron Stauffer and Jerry Vincentini were assisted by Ohio #141, Northwest Indiana #69, Indiana #56, and Auburn Blue Ovals #169. members. Pat Fenner served as registration chairman. All the hard work paid off guys. A big thank you to all of those volunteers who donated their time to help with this national meet.
This regional meet coincided with the Dedication of the Early Ford V-8 Foundation Museum which was held September 1, 2009. During the meet foundation members enjoyed the culmination of their vision as the museum's contents told flathead history.
PHOTOS and a complete article will be printed in our award winning V-8 TIMES magazine.

John Connelly, Website Chairman
Ola Hegseth, our European International Representative, tells us that the Denmark 2009 International Scandinavian Meet was a great success.
Many traveled from the surrounding countries, and all had a good time. Photo below shows a 1954 French Ford Vedette, (Model F22E 53/54) . . . and his 1938 Ford Sedan. Next Photo shows Ola's '38 car coming home on a trailer [it's already running again]. Check out our 2010 Meet schedule for the next Scandinavian meet. Ola's report follows here:
Greetings from Ola . . .
The great Meet is over. There were more than I think 60 FoMoCo-cars there and among all those people there were 4 persons from USA. Two of theme Mike Sanders and wife from Lane Morgan Hill, Calif and Wilma Lenz and Mark Norel from San Leandro. There were 1/4 from Sweden, 1/4 from Norway and the rest from Denmark.
The weather was fantastic temperature + 30 degrees Celsius all the days but when we were in return the first rain was falling and at the last day - The Ford would not bring us home together as you can see of the following picture(309). The pulley in crankshaft ended in two pieces, and there were no parts to find, so we must leave the '38 in the garden to a good friend in Denmark. The Ford came home last friday by a trailer (2321) and now its running again. The new pulley is more solid than the old one.
Wednesday first we are going to a big Car Meet in Sweden and this time I've to use mine French Ford V8 Vedette(see Picture above) the green one. It has only 68 HP and is not as speedy as the '38. Can you see some likely of the Mercury, it was over here called the BabyMercury? Best Ford V8 Greetings from your International Rep-Europe

From the Oval Office
HELLO to all fellow V-8ers. Cheryl and I have just returned from th Eastern National Meet in Windsor, Connecticut. Our traveling companions were fellow '51ers Bob and Mary Ann Padovano. Our route was to follow the eastern shore staying as close to the ocean as we could. What a blast. We crossed the Chesapeake Bay twice on the Bay/Tunnel Bridge, the Delaware Bay twice on the Cape May Ferry, two small ferries at Shelter Island while on Long Island, the Long Island Ferry across Long Island Sound to New London, Connecticut and the James River Ferry at Jamestown, Virginia. The swcenery was great, the seafood and Mystic Pizza was super and the V-8s never missed a lick. Quite an exsperience for a couple of Midwestern flatlanders.
The Eastern Meet was great - nice cars, nice location and the hosting group certainly understands New England weather as they managed squeeze everything in between the rain. Thanks to David and Pat Juliano, Charlie and Darlene Gunn, Ted Ristau, Kena and Helene Terrio, all the folks in the raffle room, registration room and all the tours and seminars. S[ecial thanks to Mike Laureno for the band on cabaret night - - they were the party.
The Central National Meet is coming up soon in Auburn, Indiana: August 28th to September 1st. Meet organizers Jerry Vincentini and Pat Fenner are expecting a record attendance, the largest Central Meet ever. Better make your plans and get registered soon as things are filling up.
We eperienced some delivery problems in Canada with the March/April mailing of the V-8 TIMES/Membership Roster. They were packaged together in clear plastic and we believe that somewhere, somehow they wer opened for inspection or other unknown reasons and not put back together and sent on. This is why some Canadian members received only the Roster or V-8 TIMES. We have no way of knowing for sure. Our printer has sent replacements and next year we will not use the clear plastic and hopefully this will not occur again. If you are still missing either copy, ploease call me and I will see that you get one.
The 2009 Director election is coming up. The Candidate information and ballot is included with the mailing label sheet with this issue. It's important that you fill out the ballot and get it mailed by October 15th. Serving as a Director is an opportunity to get your ideas into motion. Give it some thought, there are openings every year.
I know you've heard about the 1937 book for uyears. We are working our way through the new rules at Ford. Trust me, it's very close to publication. All the other "work in progress" books are moving forward also. A team for the new 1940 book is being assembled now by Director Lynn STringer. Getting books done is an all volunteer process and it takes time. The lessons learned on the '37 book will help speed the process. See ya'll in Auburn!
The Early Ford V-8 Club has instituted an annual program to encourage owners of vehicles celebrating their 75th anniversary to attend a national meet with their "anniversary year" car.
The National Club will be providing each owner who attends a national meet with his or her anniversary vehicle a limited production license tag or grille badge and a certificate of attendance. They will also receive a special windshield card. The 1934 Fords are being highlighted this year at Connecticut and Auburn. Nexty year the 1935 Fords will be acknowledged.
Only 125 specially cast and polished brass 1934 license tags were produced. Each of the attending 1934 owners will receive one and the remainder will be availalbe for sale to club members on a first come basis. If you are not attending a National Meet and would like to acquire one of these highly collectible mementos, contact: Dave Rasmussen, 1116 Alpine Way, Napa, CA 94558 in the accessories sales department. The cost is $20 plus shipping.

A fun time for all. Thank you to all the hardworking volunteers.
July 23, 2009
The Eastern National Meet was held in Hartford/Windsor Connecticut June 24 - June 27, 2009. A HUGE success, everyone had a great time. There was a Welcome Party, Ladie''s Brunch, shopping trip, Casino Trip, Ladies Tour and Lunch, Cabaret Buffet, tour of the Passardi Collection, Concourse and of course the Awards Banquet.
Members from the surrounding region worked very hard organizing and working the Registration tables, swap meet, women''s flea market, Operational Inspection, Welcome Party and the entire event. Thank you to all of the volunteers who made this event possible. The Ladie''s Tour went to the Mark Twain House for Lunch and toured the Rose Garden (the oldest municipally operated rose garden in the country; 2-1/2 acres with over 800 varieties of roses totaling 15,000 plants). On Cabaret Night, everyone enjoyed the happy hour, and light supper . . . and then enjoyed the entertainment, Sharkey and the Unknowns (a 10-piece "oldies" band) and danced the night away.
Members toured the Don Passardi collection: an impressive collection of Fords and Ford memorabilia. 60 mile round-trip driving tour to Don''s with lunch on your own. The local area afforded many interesting places to visit on your own: New England Air Museum, Vintage Radio Museum, Old Newgate Prison, Connecticut Trolley Museum, and the Mark Twain House.
Organizers included Co-Chairmen Chailie Gunn and Mike Laureno; and Registration, Pat Juliano. We will have photos to post soon. Look for an upcoming article in the V-8 TIMES magazine.
The 1932 Ford Book, A Production Chronicle and Restoration Guide (A Gigantic Two-Volume Set!)
By Dave Rehor
1932 V-8 Times Technical Advisor
"An all-new look at the 1932 Ford in a two-volume, 620-page, hardcover book (or paperback) loaded with over 900 photos, illustrations, and drawings, the vast majority of which are of the period.
It is the first book to cover virtually all factory-bodied '32 model passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and trucks produced by Ford both in and outside of the U.S.A. The seemingly-endless changes made in the short production life of this icon are chronicled on a part-by-part basis revealing the effort and accomplishments of Ford's employees in a few short months. While it is first and foremost a restoration guide, it reads like a novel and will be a must-have for anyone who shares the passion for the 'Deuce."
This book has received several very favorable revews in current car culture magazines. Check it out. Get this two-book set today!! Check out our OnLine Store for ordering instructions.
Order now, a reprint of the original 1932 Ford Book will be included FREE with your order for a limited time, while supplies last. Soft-bound, $84.95, plus S&H.
Late 1949 to 1951 Lincoln V8 came out with the big flathead V8 in 1949. This engine displaced 337 cubic inches and was used in the Lincoln passenger.
Differing horsepower ratings reflect the slight differences between the two engines. This was a significantly heavier engine at about 950 lbs. than the more common 221 to 255 cubic inch V8's that Ford used for their smaller trucks and Ford & Mercury cars. This engine was known as the "8EL" engine for Lincolns and as the "8EQ" engine for large Ford trucks (F-7's and F-8's). Aside from its physical size, the easy way to identify this engine is the distributor, which is mounted at the rear of the engine near the fuel pump. The heads are held down by 27 head bolts (or studs with nuts). Crankshafts were supported by three main bearings like the small V8's. The truck engines were built with solid lifters. The Lincoln engines were equipped with hydraulic lifters only. Lincoln crankshafts were of forged steel. The E series engines delivered more horsepower, but also more torque for the heavy vehicles they powered. These engines are similar to the smaller 8BA/8RT and EAB/EAC engines. Very few parts interchange with the more common 221 to 255 cubic inch flathead V8. Some aftermarket speed parts were made for these engines back in the 1950's, but nothing is being produced today (at this time). Most common rebuild parts can still be found from various antique Ford vendors and suppliers.
Before the Second World War, the Australians produced Fords in Sidney. Although they looked the same as their American "cousins," the Australian's created a number of unique models.
As an example, in 1939, Ford (USA) offered a Standard and Deluxe model. The Model Number was designated as Model 91A. The Standard car was available in a 2 Door, 4 Door and Coupe. The Deluxe was available in a 2 Door, 4 door Coupe and Convertible. The Convertible did not have a back seat but did have a rumble seat. In Australia, for whatever the reason, the following models were produced: A Standard Roadster, Coupe, 2 Door Sedan, 4 Door Sedan, Coupe Utility.
The Coupe Utility otherwise known as the "Ute" began life as a Coupe and was transformed into a Pick-up truck. The Deluxe series included a Roadster, Coupe, 2 Door Sedan, 4 Door Sedan, Coupe Sedan, Convertible and Coupe Utility.
The Coupe Sedan was a unique vehicle. It featured a "fold down" rear seat that would move forward as the seat back was folded down. This provided 6 feet of space from the trunk to the back of the rear seat. The body style itself had a more pronounced slope that a conventional sedan, hence the nickname "Sloper."
During a visit to New Zealand, I happened to meet a fellow member and his wife who owned one of these rare models. Their names were Trevor & Yvonne Latham. I had the opportunity to examine this unique vehicle "first hand." Indeed, the rear seat did fold down enabling one to transport a great amount of material. Moreover, the standard leather interior attested to the fact that this vehicle could also be used for serious hauling. Trevor rescued a "basket case" and painstakingly restored this Jefferson Blue beauty to its original understated elegance.

Ford Motor Company has a long history with famed illustrator Norman Rockwell. In 1953, a calendar was produced to celebrate Ford Motor Company's 50th Anniversary that included six Rockwell works protraying highlights in the life of Henry Ford and the history of Ford Motor Company.
The calendar was distributed to homes, offices, school classrooms, and commercial businesses. Over one million copies of the calender were distributed at Ford, Lincoln and Mercury dealerships. Included in the calendar is a water-color of Henry Ford working on his original car. see below
In addition, Rockwell did another illustration featuring the profiles of Henry Ford, Edsel Ford and Henry Ford II - the Ford family that had controlled the company for the first 50 years.
Ironically, there were very few SATURDAY EVENING POST covers by Rockwell that featured a Ford automobile, or at least part of one.
These images not only appeared on the calendar but on puzzles, showroom posters and other advertising media. Today they are very collectible, especially during the 100th anniversary of the Ford Motor Company. [from Jan/Feb 2003 V-8 Times magazine]

HOW DO WE PREVENT SCAMMERS: Unfortunately, we cannot stop the scammers sending us strange or "bogus" offers. Everyone needs to be careful in dealing with incoming offers to make sure the buyer is legitmate. Be careful not to deal with anyone that seems suspicious, especially if they are from a foreign country offering more than your ad asks . . . and wanting you to send money back to them! Be careful.

FORUM RULES: Users agree to these Rules when using Forum.

The user agrees to the following terms:
All information that you provide to us for your membership is correct.
You will not use your membership to spam, harrass, or exploit other members in any way.
Vulgar, Abusive, Racist and Sexist Language will not be tolerated.

No mass posting or flooding of the boards is allowed.
No Advertising of parts or cars; no Ebay or business/commercial ads (please use the "Classified" for ads Wanted or For Sale).
VIEWING MULTIPLE TOPICS ON SCREEN: You can choose to see more than 10 Topics at a time ... Log In and choose "Preferences" from the top bar on the Forum page. Scroll down and Change the "Default Topics Returned" parameter to 25 or 50, and save the changes. Since this setting is stored in your browser 'cookies' (if enabled), it seems to use that stored value even if you are not logged in. So, if you use a PC that you haven't logged into the forum from, the setting still seem to remain at the default.
EXTERNAL PHOTO LINKS ON FORUM: You can still use external photo links in your posts on the new forum. They follow the rules of any link in that they have to have the URL link qualified down to the full image file name (example: .jpg). The links will open in a new browser window, the same as an uploaded image attached to a post. Since an image attachment to any post does not display inline with the post, the results are the same. You can use multiple external links within a post. This link is from photos on a site from Don Clink's 'Deuce@75' albums:
Using links from photo sites such as Photobucket can help in "size" issue with uploaded attachment files. For best viewing in web browsers, photos should be around the 800x600 pixel range, and probably not more than 1024x768. Most cameras today store HUGE jpg image files, as the default settings are in the 7, 8, 10, and 12Mb image sizes. The image files that are then attached are very large, and the browser can't display the full image size without using the scroll bars. Use the re-sizing functions of your photo editing software to reduce the image to 800x600, which reduces the file sixe and the image load time in the browser. Don uses Google's free Picassa3 software, which is an excellent photo management product. All of the photo albums of the Deuce, Grand National, and Auburn that are links on the NORG site were built using Picassa's web creation functions. And it's free? (THANKS to Don Clink for the info!)

MEMBERSHIP EXPIRATION: WHEN does my membership expire? Answer. Membership in the Early Ford V-8 Club is on a cycle. If you join in July, your membership is not due until the following July. The easiest way to tell when your membership expires is the label on the envelope that your V-8 Times is delivered in. Right on the label is your membership expiration date. You may also 'email us' at registration@cornerstonereg.com about your membership renewal date. You will receive an E-mail answer in a short time.
NEARBY V-8ers: HOW do I find other V-8'ers or Regional Groups in my area? Answer. Go to the REGIONAL GROUP DIRECTORY tab in the Main Menu of this website and click. Lookup RG's by state/city. Also, as a member you will receive a Membership Roster with the March/April V-8 TIMES. This Roster lists all members in alphabetical order, by state, including their address, city/state, phone number and type of vehicle (unless they opt out of being listed). It also lists Regional Groups, their address, city/state, contact and phone number. We list the National Officers, Directors, International Representatives, V-8 Club Committee & Staff and past club Presidents. Along with all this information you also get the club By-Laws, Judging Manual and the V8 Times Index of Articles.
NATIONAL MEETS: WHEN and WHERE are the NATIONAL MEETS? Answer. Traditionally, the Early Ford V-8 Club of America has three National Meets each year: Eastern, Central and Western. Every five years, one Grand National Meet is held. Although it has been held in one or more places, Dearborn, Michigan seems to be the most popular. The next one will be the 50th Anniversary of the Early Ford V-8 Club and is scheduled for 2013. The exact date is yet to be determined. You will find the most up-to-date information on the club website in EVENTS. Just click on the menu tab to find out more.
V-8 MODELS & PARTS: I'm looking for a specific model V-8 and parts. Where do I find them? Answer. The V-8 TIMES classifieds, the club Website classifieds, Regional Group members, and Swap Meets and the Internet always have a lead for cars and parts. The advertisers in the V-8 TIMES also specialize in your specific needs. Also check out the Vendors and Friends page located in the Links on the club website. You can also place a Classified Ad in the website for your specific requirements. You can also search our Car Information section, click on Car Codes section of the website to see the various models. Hemmings Motor News magazine is also always a good starting place to look for cars and parts . . . even Ebay online.
V-8 RESTORATION: I've got a question about my V8 Restoration. Who do I contact? Answer. If you're in a Regional Group, that's the first place to start. The Cub does have Technical Advisors for specific model years as listed in the V-8 TIMES and also on the Website under "STAFF." Send your question to the Editor and note which advisor you would like to contact. Also, visit the Forum on the website and post your question to the membership. You will get results. One of the items that can be used are the club written books. You will find a list of them in the V8 TIMES and on the website ON LINE STORE. Check out the On Line Store on the website for a complete list of books with cover photos and descriptions and pricing.
V-8 TIMES SEARCHABLE INDEX: How do I find a specific article by keyword or topic? Answer: Go to V-8 TIMES section in the Main Menu. Then click on Searchable Index. Type in the key words or topic you are looking for and the article information will pop up. NOT the article, but the information about where it was published: which V-8 Times issue and the date. Then you can check your own library or ask in the Forum specifically if anyone has that V-8 TIMES issue. You might even be able to buy a back issue from the OnLine Store if it is still available. You would need to write to the v8accessories@gmail.com to ask.
